Zibi Community Utility grand opening – a first in North America
The media, politicians and industry leaders gathered at Zibi on May 10 for the official launch of the unique Zibi Community Utility. Located at the base of the Aalto Suites, the ZCU produces zero-carbon heating and cooling for all of Zibi’s buildings, on both sides of the River!
Interzip Rogers – a fun summer thrill
From May to October, the Interzip Rogers, now in its second year, was a draw for thrill-seeking tourists and residents. Spanning 1,200 feet, and sitting 120 feet above the Ottawa Rivers, the first interprovincial zipline continues to be the region’s favourite way to cross the River!
Fête du Canada – celebrating Canada’s birthday
On July 1st, Zibi had the honour of hosting part of the official Fête du Canada festivities. More than 2,000 people came to Zibi to help us celebrate Canada’s birthday, with concerts, food trucks and fun activities!
Salon des Assoiffées (presented by Soif) – a wine lover’s delight
On July 16, Zibi was pleased to welcome 1,000 wine and food enthusiasts at the Salon des Assoiffées in our beautiful La Ruelle venue. The afternoon of tasting and discovery was presented by local award-winning restaurant Soif.
Festibière – bringing the fun to Zibi
From July 19 to 30, more than 10,000 people descended on Place des Festivals Zibi to take part in a Festibière like no other. For 10 days, the site was transformed into a veritable adult playground with a giant Ferris wheel, a massive pool with a pedal-boat bar, food trucks and live music.
Cirque du Soleil – KOOZA – a magical experience
Zibi was thrilled to again welcome the Cirque du Soleil’s big tent to Place des Festivals as they presented their wonderful show KOOZA. More than 75,000 people were wowed by the Cirque’s magical performance from August 25 to September 25.
