A waterfront city that straddles a river, two beautiful cities, two provinces and three cultures, what’s not to love? There’s so much in fact that it’s hard to narrow it down, but on this day of love, let us offer you our top 5!

1.Breathtaking views everywhere you look

For the past century, the view to the magnificent Chaudière Falls was blocked off by industry. Today, Zibi residents at Aalto and Common at Zibi, and visitors to the site, can enjoy breathtaking views of this boiling cauldron anytime they want! Zibi also offers amazing views of the Gatineau Hills, and the many landmark sites lining the Ottawa River on both sides, including Parliament Hill and the Supreme Court. Visitors to Pangishimo Park can also enjoy gorgeous sunset views anytime of year!

2.World-class attractions everywhere

Zibi is truly in the heart of the National Capital. Located on the edge for the National Capital Commission’s Confederation Boulevard, Zibi residents can easily walk or bike the ceremonial route starting at the War Museum across from Kanaal in the West, along the Supreme Court and Parliament Hill on Wellington Street, by the National Gallery in the East and behind the Museum of History on the North Shore. Zibi is also right next to Lebreton Flats where Ādisōke, the new spectacular central library, will open its doors in 2026, and where the Ottawa Senators will hopefully move to real soon!

3.Delectable food and drinks

While Zibi will eventually be home to its own pubs and restaurants, it is centrally located near some of Canada’s best restaurants. For example, Soif Bar à vin  on rue Montcalm is an award-winning restaurant featuring the best wines and small plates in the region. On rue Laval just up from Zibi, you can find amazing restaurants like Le Troquet and Piz’-za-za. And for those who prefer pub fare served with gorgeous views, the Mill Street is less than a 1,000 steps away from Kanaal and Common at Zibi on the Ontario side.

4.Music, music, and more music

Living at Zibi means living steps away from amazing live music venues and festivals, including the popular RBC Ottawa Bluesfest at the War Museum, and live music at the Bronson Centre, le Minotaure at La Place Aubry and at Salle Jean Desprez in the Gatineau city hall. This is not to mention the live music and entertainment that takes place at Zibi itself during the summer and winter Festibière, and other major events like the Cirque du Soleil!

5.More sports than you can try

Cross-country skiing or fatbiking on the Kìchì Sìbi Winter Trail , skating on the ruisseau de la Brasserie, cycling or scooting on the multi-use pathway, kayaking on the Ottawa River, or ziplining from Ottawa to Gatineau… there is something for all active types steps from Zibi. Situated along the Capital Pathway in Ontario and the Sentier des voyageurs in Quebec, Zibi is the perfect location for anyone who wants to live an active lifestyle.
