Summer can be fleeting in the capital, which is why Zibi is doing all it can to keep it jam-packed with fun activities for its residents and visitors alike. Check out the great lineup of events we have planned for you before the end of the summer!

Dance at Zibi! – Thursdays throughout July and August

Starting on Thursday, July 18 and every Thursday until August 15, Zibi and the NAC invite you to learn how to dance with the best local dance groups! From tango to K-pop, Latin folk, street and house, we have something for everyone! Join us on Albert Island behind the War Museum from 6pm to 8pm for a fun evening of carefree movement in a cool urban setting! Check out our Facebook event page for more information.

Capital Pop-up Cinema! – Saturday, July 27

If you’re like us and nostalgic for the drive-in cinema, do not fret! We have an amazing night of outdoor cinema planned for you! Bike, walk, or take the LRT down to Zibi on Saturday, July 27 to watch Scott Pilgrim vs. the World at 28 Booth Street on Albert Island!  Bring the chair (or rent one from us!) and we’ll have some snacks for you to buy. Check out this website for more information.

Repair Café – Saturday, August 10

On Saturday, August 10 from 10am to 2pm, bring your DIY repair projects to the Ottawa Tool Library volunteers at The Warehouse, 28 Booth Street on Albert Island. From sewing projects to small electrical and bike repairs, these volunteers know it all and will help you breathe new life to your “broken” items. For more information about the Repair Café, visit the Ottawa Tool Library website.

Cirque du Soleil ECHO – From August 16 to September 29

The Cirque is back at Place des festivals Zibi for another mesmerizing month and a half! “ECHO highlights our interconnectedness and takes us on a journey of hope, youthful optimism and empathy.” This is yet another tour de force from Canada’s most celebrated live act. Tickets are still available on the Cirque du Soleil website.

Free guided tours of Les Allumettières at E.B. Eddy – Until August 31

Until August 31st, join the heritage experts from the Musée régional de l’Outaouais for a free guided tour of “Block 6”, the old E.B. Eddy factory that has never before been open to the public! The 45-minute guided tours take place from Friday to Sunday, from 1pm to 5pm. On this tour, you will discover the story of the Allumettières, the female workers who marked the Outaouais’ history by standing up for their rights 100 years ago this year! For more information and to reserve your place, visit Eventbrite.

Zibi is the place to be this summer! We hope to see you at one of our great events!
