6 Booth Street ready to welcome commercial tenants
The six-storey commercial building at 6 Booth Street, which features a beautifully restored façade, is officially ready to welcome its first tenants. This state-of-the-art office space, located on Chaudière Island to the west of Booth Street and designed with sustainability and modern needs in mind, will soon be home to commercial tenants, further enriching Zibi’s thriving business district. Construction set to begin on new rental building on Chaudière Island
The residential expansion at Zibi continues, with construction on a new rental building on Chaudière Island West set to begin this month. This 22-storey building, expected to be completed by October 2027, will bring more residents to the community, and offer modern living spaces with stunning views of the Ottawa River.
Government of Canada workers breathe new life into 125 Zaida Eddy Private
With the recent mandate for Government of Canada employees to return to the office at least 3 days a week, 125 Zaida Eddy Private, next to the popular zipline, has been buzzing with life! This marks another exciting chapter in Zibi’s evolution with more workers on site throughout the week.
A thriving co-living building on Chaudière Island
The co-living building on Chaudière Island, which welcomed its first tenants last spring, is now a bustling hub of activity. New residents, including 19 units from Ottawa Community Housing, are making the most of this innovative living space, which promotes a sense of community and inclusivity. The building features 9 units across 2 floors dedicated to affordable housing further reflect Zibi’s commitment to social responsibility.
Tesasini and Pangishimo parks: Beautiful views on the Ottawa River
Tesasini Park on the Gatineau North Shore is now officially open, joining Pangishimo Park on the Ottawa West Shore as yet another public space for Zibi’s visitors, workers and residents. With their stunning natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere, these parks are a must-visit destination offering a picturesque escape on the shores of the Ottawa River amid the changing autumn colours.
Dream seeks partners for Capital View Lands development
Dream Unlimited has announced they are seeking partners for the development of the City View Lands on the East side of Zibi in Gatineau. This area holds tremendous potential for future residential and commercial projects, while expanding Zibi’s footprint on the Gatineau side and continuing to support that city’s downtown revitalization efforts.
Zibi residents come together for Fall events
Zibi’s community spirit was on full display during two recent resident Fall events. On October 3, residents had the chance to tour the Zibi Community Utility (ZCU) plant, learning about the innovative energy systems powering Zibi’s sustainable future. Then, on October 9, the Harvest Fest moved the Warehouse, 28 Booth Street, and brought neighbours together for an evening of fun, food, and celebration, further highlighting the sense of connection that defines this unique community.
