It’s now possible to soar 120 feet above the Ottawa River from the Zibi site!

The region’s most anticipated tourist attraction of 2021, Interzip Rogers, is now open to the delight of the region’s families and tourists looking for a unique experience in the National Capital Region! The opening ceremony took place earlier today at Zibi with Hull-Aylmer Member of Parliament, Greg Fergus, the Member of the National Assembly for Chapleau and Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Justice, Mathieu Lévesque, Gatineau municipal councillor, Pierre Lanthier, and representatives from Ottawa Tourism, Tourisme Outaouais, Rogers, Zibi and Orkestra.
One of the most memorable moments from today’s news conference: the first ride on the world’s first interprovincial zipline by Valérie Ducharme and Charles-Armand Turpin who donated $27,000 to local charities via an online auction for the honour.

The must-do event of the summer!

A thrilling outdoor activity 120 feet above the Ottawa River offering incomparable views of the Parliament, Chaudière Falls, and old Hull, the Interzip Rogers zipline will be one of the region’s most popular tourist attractions this summer and for years to come.
The organizers and the region’s tourism sector are delighted to offer such a popular, and safe, activity to brighten our summer.
Zipline riders will also be happy to see that Zibi’s Terrasse Panorama will be back this summer in collaboration with Beau’s All Natural Brewing Co.. Gatineau restaurants’ food trucks will be invited to park at the site. People can follow Zibi’s social media accounts for more information.

“The Rogers team is proud to participate in the official opening of Interzip Rogers, which also marks the symbolic reopening of the Quebec-Ontario border. Connecting people is at the heart of what we do. “This is a great day for us at Zibi. The Interzip Rogers is a physical manifestation of our vision to build a borderless community connecting our two cities and provinces, and to make Zibi a waterfront destination for locals and tourists alike. After months of closed borders between our two provinces, today’s opening of the first interprovincial zipline in the world, is an even greater reason to celebrate.” – Jeff Westeinde, President, Zibi

“Interzip Rogers will be THE attraction to try this summer! The zipline will attract new visitors seeking experiences and adventures in the Outaouais. Visitors will also discover the restaurants and shops in downtown Gatineau, which is sure to generate economic benefits for the whole region. “I’m thrilled to see the Interzip Rogers open today, joining Ontario and Quebec with what now takes the title of the most fun and exhilarating of our interprovincial crossings. Tourism has been hard-hit through this pandemic, but despite the challenges we have seen the partners involved in this project double-down on their efforts and bring this new attraction to fruition. This is a testament to the resilience and fortitude of our tourism industry, and will delight both locals and visitors as we see our economy begin to reopen through the vaccine rollout and following of public health guidelines.” – Michael Crockatt, President and CEO, Ottawa Tourism
