Online booking for the general public to open June 19 at interzip.ca!
The region’s most anticipated tourist attraction of 2021 is set to open to the public on Thursday, June 24! The zipline, located on the Zibi site and linking Ottawa and Gatineau over the Ottawa River, promises to deliver a summer of excitement for residents and visitors to the National Capital Region.
The online booking system is now open for pre-sale ticket holders and will open to the general public on June 19 at 8 a.m. To buy a ticket or reserve your date and time, please visit: interzip.ca
Ottawa-Gatineau’s most highly anticipated summer adventure!
With an impressive number of tickets having been pre-sold, the summer of 2021 promises to be a busy one for Interzip Rogers’ organizers who expect strong public demand for the safe outdoor activity.
“The 2021 summer season should be very exciting! We know the public is looking for new and exciting activities and we are certain that we’re offering something unique in the world,” said Orkestra co-president Alex Van Dieren. “Now that the border between Ottawa and Gatineau is open again, we look forward to welcoming visitors to a safe outdoor activity.”
Zipline riders will also be happy to see that Zibi’s Terrasse Panorama will be back this summer in collaboration with Beau’s All Natural Brewing Co. Gatineau restaurants’ food trucks will be invited to park at the site. People can follow Zibi’s social media accounts for more information.
Reduced capacity for the first few weeks of operation
Given the unpredictable nature of the COVID-19 situation, organizers will be welcoming approximately half the number of daily riders for the first few weeks in order to ensure safe operation and compliance with the Ontario and Quebec governments’ public health guidelines.
An online booking system will enable organizers to pre-schedule rides and control the number of participants at all times, ensuring an even greater measure of safety.
Additionally, all employees will be trained on health and safety protocols. Masks and safety gloves have been ordered for all employees.
The zipline’s promoters are committed to implementing the directives outlined in the Alliance de l’industrie touristique du Québec’s Plan sanitaire COVID-19 de l’industrie touristique, based on INSPQ’s recommendations, and the Event Safety Alliance’s Reopening Guide for event professionals during COVID-19 in Ontario.
